Lady Rams fall to Lock Haven in PSAC's

The West Chester Volleyball team was swept by top ranked Lock Haven in the quarterfinal round of the PSAC women's volleyball match 3-0, Tuesday night. The Lady Rams went into their game with Lock Haven having won 11 out of their last 14 games. Game one against Lock Haven was close, but the Lady Rams could not pull out the win.

Lady Rams ready to defend division crown

Heading into the 2009-2010 basketball season, the West Chester University Lady Rams have confidence, swagger and a winning attitude. Last season, they were 'hongry,' this season they are ready for that climb to the top of the mountain. In a vote by coaches from the PSAC, West Chester was selected to win the PSAC Eastern Division.

Last Sunday, the West Chester University women's rugby team lost in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union championship game for the first time in the last four years. The game took place in Shippensburg, as West Chester took on Delaware after beating Shipp the day before, in thrilling fashion.

WCU ice hockey sweeps rivals

Now, THAT'S more like it. The West Chester University men's hockey team looked like the high-flying Golden Rams of old this weekend as they racked up wins of 9-1 and 5-2 against one of its biggest rivals, the Drexel University Dragons. On Friday night, WCU got nine goals from eight different players as they lambasted the Dragons in a game that reminded many onlookers of some of WCU's recent high-scoring teams.

Golden Rams focusing on future

The 2009 football season ended a couple of weeks too early for the West Chester University Golden Rams this year. A season that started with a lot of promise ended in disappoint as they were not able to make the NCAA playoffs for the first time in six years.
