Members of Alpha Sigma Tau held their annual Back to School Hoops philanthropic event, which raised almost $2,000 for breast cancer research. Back to School Hoops was held on Nov. 18 in the Ehinger gym. "Each sister [of the sorority] was responsible for making a three to four member team which paid $30 to play," Kate DiLello, president of Alpha Sigma Tau, said.

Cystic Fibrosis hits home with students

West Chester University fourth-year student Julie Sgrignioli, raised over $500 this past year to help support finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Sgrignioli raised the money as part of a team called the "Moyer Girls," which is associated with Great Strides, taking steps to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

WCU alumni provide bus trips for students

There are only so many places you can go in the town before it becomes mundane, especially if you are an upperclassman and have been living in this town for a few years. Although the University provides opportunities and events for the students, there has never been an opportunity quite like the one that West Chester University students stumbled upon.
