Bomb threat shuts down Main Hall

It took just two minutes for WCU Campus Police to respond to a bomb threat made against Main Hall at 6:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Director of Public Safety and Campus Police Chief Michael Bicking said his officers were on the scene at 7:01 p.m and called University administrators as well as other local police departments.

Fall pretzel service project Promotes student safety

The Off-Campus and Commuter Association (OCCA), along with students representing various student on-campus organizations handed out pretzels to intoxicated people in 17 different locations throughout the streets of West Chester late Thursday night into early Friday morning as part of their Fall Pretzel Service Project.

Registrar reports spring semester scheduling on track

According to the Office of the Registrar, scheduling for spring '08 went right as planned. When students go to schedule their classes each semester, for some it may be a stressful time. For others, it is fairly simple due to majors and also the course requirements that are open.

Volunteers support Safe Harbor

The Safe Harbor of Greater West Chester provides shelter for 20 men and four women on a daily basis, but it is also much more than just a roof over their heads. The shelter, established in 1992, is run on a strict set of rules that maintain the living spaces and aid in encouraging residents to find employment and, in some cases, overcome addiction.
