WCU bakes off to find the sweetest treat

"Sweet Treats So Others Can Eat" was the theme to the very first Great Brownie Bake-Off sponsored by the Office of Service Learning and Volunteer Programs held on Monday, Feb. 27, in the Sykes Student Union lobby. The bake sale event raised $250 that will be split between Chester County Cares and Salvation Army food banks, which feed the community weekly.

Not traveling for spring break? Try these choices

Many students from WCU will be staying local for their week off and they will have little escape from the winter weather or icy conditions. Before you get too upset, realize that there are plenty of fun things to do even if you're not lounging around in a bathing suit.

Study tips for midterms

As many of us count down to the last day of school, one may notice that we are halfway through the semester. This means two things: spring break is approaching fast and more importantly, it is time for midterms. Are you nervous that you are going to use all of your energy to study, and not have enough to last until spring break? First, consider your "study place" in which you study most frequently.

Staying safe on spring break

It's almost time to forget the books, tests, projects and drama and enjoy a week that is free of school and stress! Spring break is just days away and a record number of college students will be flocking to beaches in warm and sunny locations. Although the week is sure to be filled with parties, tropical drinks and sun tans, it is also very important to remember to be smart and safe.
